After getting the money, I went straight to the hospital to pay part of the outstanding fees for Mrs. Smith's hospitalization.

Dr. Ford found out and called me into his office.

"Olivia, where did you get this money from?"

Seeing the concern in Dr. Ford's eyes, I didn't want him to worry. So, I lied and said my aunt had sent it.

When he heard that, his furrowed brow finally relaxed.

"Mrs. Smith's surgery was very successful. Don't worry too much about the medical expenses. I'll apply for some assistance funds from the hospital.

"Your most important task right now is to focus on your studies. Don't make any wrong choices because of this and jeopardize your future."

Even though I had other thoughts in mind, I nodded obediently.
